Americans Do It Better

This viral ad for the Democrats is way better than any political advertising I've ever seen in Europe. It's 4 minutes long but well worth watching to the end.

They just seem to have a handle on how the medium works. Unlike the most recent effort by our own David Cameron. (And if you get to the end of this one, I'll give you £20.)

I have watched some of these campaign ads with open-mouthed awe. I'm not sure if this style of campaigning would work in the UK, but the smug oh-so-clever mealy-mouthed approach of campaigning here sure could do with some vim.

I'm really impressed.

It's a brilliant way of expressing so much in such a short amount of time, and I personally think that the style would work really well over here.

I personally really like the fact that David Cameron wants to make his web casts "fun and lively".

Although clearly part of this is already done by the invention of the webcameron, which is a funny play on words on his name, David Cameron and the object he uses to....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Wow - restoring my faith in George Michael as well as my Republic. Amazing and inspiring video.

As for Cameron, I barely made it through the first 15 seconds.

Agreed, great use of music and imagery. Cameron rebuffered at 3 seconds into it so I stopped it and moved on.
